**Homiletics** is the art and science of preaching and delivering sermons. It involves the study of the principles and methods of preparing and presenting religious discourses. Homiletics covers various forms of preaching, including sermons, homilies, and catechetical instruction.
1. To discover the nature and meaning of preaching according to the Bible.
2. To learn what makes a good and relevant sermon.
3. To learn how to communicate the truth of the Word in a clear and concise way.
4. To learn by experience how to move from the exegesis of the text to the crafting and delivering of the sermon itself.
5. To learn how to evaluate sermons in terms of biblical authority and effectiveness.
6. To learn from others new ideas about preaching and sermons.
7. To learn what a biblical sermon is and to understand its power.
